Abstract

This paper examines the practice of applying new technologies to the study of literature in lower primary school grades. Under consideration are the works published in the electronic collections of the contest "Digital lesson" sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications. The aim is to show and assess the role of ICT used in classes and its contribution to the implementation of 4Cs (creativity, critical reflection, communication, collaboration) in literature learning strategies. Analysis shows that the digital environment of the majority of classes were based on teacher's PowerPoint presentations in almost all parts of the class, regardless of the specifics of the literary text, the outcome, and thus the feasibility of the goal of teaching. The second most commonly used method was YouTube, often managed by the teacher to present the content. Only those works that used a meaningful and diverse combination of multimedia in certain parts of the classes for developing knowledge, accessing information from multiple sources, communication and cooperation, received awards in the contest.
