Abstract

In the paper we will present a review of research on the application of elementary games in the first cycle of primary education. The research was carried out thanks to the help from teachers at the primary school "Vlada Aksentijevic" in Belgrade, in the February 2019/2020 school year. The application examined the application and knowledge of the physical education curriculum, the application of games of dexterity, precision and orientation in space, the use of props, students’ interest in presented games also as the theoretical familiarity with above mentioned games. From the obtained results, it can be concluded that teachers, as well as students, were glad to apply games of dexterity, precision and orientation in space. Such results are a consequence of thorough understanding of physical education programs, as well as providing motivation to students for the application of games, but also students’ need itself to play and socialize.
