THE DANCE OF WRITING AS AN EXPLORATION OF THE EXPERIENCE OF A LITERARY TEXT – AN EXAMPLE

Abstract

The results of the research that was done in August 2022 in the “Detinjstvo” kindergarten, based in Lazarevac, will be presented in this paper. The subject of this research is the examination of children’s emotions expressed in the write dance, and stimulated by the literary text. The goal of the research is the articulation of emotions expressed in the write dance. The obtained results were processed by qualitative analysis - thematically. Feelings were examined through talking with children about their experiences and works created during the research, as well as through observing the children’s movements during the activity. Large-sized papers were used as a pad for the research, on which the children painted with their fingers using tempera. As an incentive for the expression of feelings, three literary works were processed – He Was Like That by D. Lukić, Once Upon a Time There Was a Wolf by Lj. Ršumović and The Trembling Song by M. Antić. The criteria for the selection of these works were the type and intensity of emotions that appeared in them. The painting activity was followed by a semi-structured discussion related to the children’s experiences, understanding of the literary text and their works.
