Abstract

Revival of national consciousness and fighting for independence in Serbia caused greater amount of natural and human research on its territory. Thus, there had begun more and more publishing of classbooks and other instructional resources from many domains, whereby geography gained special place, as science and teaching subject, which has researching in nature and society. The importance of classbooks in geography is multiple, and is related with various contents that geography consists of. At first, correct using and understanding of contents from geographic classbooks contribute development of intellectual abilities of individuals and groups, positive effect on forming personalities of students, their choice of future profession and understanding of spatial potentials and limitations worldwide. Utilization of geographic classbooks on all levels of education by the students, should be directed to learning with intellection and, in general, to learn how to singly find datas, literature and solutions. In that way, classbooks must be written in accordance with age of students, and must contribute in tectonic, stylistic and aesthetic way for easily intussusception of informations. One of the most important parts in geographic classbooks are tricky tasks, and for their solution students need to interconnect different parts of text in one or more lessons. It is known that classbooks are written for certain age of students, and that could be problem because of individual differences and interests of students. For that reason, it is necessary to choose informations and tasks carefully, in terms of theirs potential, and neither should be omitted professor, whose role is very important in transference of knowledge to groups and individuals. An essential part of every geographic classbook is didactic apparatus.
