Abstract

This paper presents the educational potentials of the project-based learning process in teaching Social, Environmental and Scientific Education, as a special pedagogical concept oriented towards solving current issues in scientific, environmental and social reality. The process of project implementation through project modelling stages is presented and analysed from the aspect of direct and indirect support using the application Trello which contributes to the development of various student competences such as digital, planning, research, cooperation and cognitive competences. The Trello application provides support in project-based learning as a digital project portfolio which registers the process of project development from the initial idea to the final product through students’ individual and group activities. Such a designed project-based learning supports the constructivist learning theory and creates an educational environment for developing maximal individual potentials by controlling the overall cognitive and learning process.
